Our Services

Holy Communion

St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Mission meets at our home at 74137 Academy Ln E, Palm Desert, CA 92211

on Sundays at 3:00PM for Holy Communion Service.

Our Church practices “open” Communion. Therefore, any Christian who has been baptized in the Name of the Holy Trinity (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) is invited to partake of the Blessed Sacrament of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the course of the service, there are times we may stand, kneel, and cross ourselves. Feel free to jump in whenever you feel comfortable. You can sit, stand, or kneel whenever you please – or not at all!

Also, the mission has a Facebook page. You are invited to follow us and to share that digital venue with others.

The Significance and Participation in the Lord's Supper

Approaching the Chalice

What we receive in Holy Communion is a sacred meal reserved only for those who are baptized Christians. Holy Communion is a "family meal" and baptism is the entry way into that family of Christ. Therefore, we invite all who have been baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to come forward and partake freely of the sacrament of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you have not received the sacrament of baptism, please do not come forward to approach the chalice, but instead remain where you are in prayer to God.

Of course, if you have not been baptized, please do not hesitate to discuss with Fr. John about catechism (instruction in the Christian Faith) and receiving Baptism.

We use the 2019 Book of Common Prayer in our services.

Follow the service with your own digital or hardcopy BCP!
